Preparing our girls to lead- from fields to their futures.
Focused on creating a world where every girl, regardless of income, location, or sport interest, has the opportunity and support to play, grow, and lead through athletics.
Why this Matters:
94% of female c-suite executives were once girls who played sports.
Female student-athletes have higher GPAs and are more likely to attend college.
Girls who play sports report higher self-esteem and lower levels of depression.
Girls in sports report feeling more connected to school and their peers, improving overall well-being.
Girls involved in sports are more likely to describe themselves as leaders.
Where the Issue is:
Girls are afforded 1.3 million fewer sporting opportunities than boys and drop out at 6x the rate. Additionally, 75% of parents don't know if they can continue to afford to put their child(ren) in sports, and in 90% of household with two children, the girl is the one who is forced to drop.
Indiana ranks 36th in the nation for girls participation in sports
